Buck Moon Hike on Shoal Creek - DRAFT Work in progress

Hey y'all! We’re heading out again for a **hike on Shoal Creek** — a scenic **6.3-mile loop** at an easy pace. 🌅✨ 🕯️ **Bring a light source** (headlamp or flashlight) — and don’t forget your water bottle to stay hydrated! Why Is it called the [Buck Moon](https://www.space.com/36040-april-full-moon.html)? 📍 **Meeting Point:** 2 Robert T Martinez Jr St, Austin, TX 78702 *Lady Bird Lake Trailhead, across from the Central Austin Youth League fields. Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gZ6YhGD9VHXYFygW9* 🗺️ **Hike Route:** We’ll start at the Austin Recreation Center parking next to the Skate Park, 1301 Shoal Creek Blvd, crossing Shoal Creek Blvd. and under 12th Street, making our way down the Shoal Creek trail to Soak Beach at Lady Bird Lake. We will return by heading back up the Shoal Creek trail to Pease Park. Stops may include the new Austin Central Library and Pease Park. Once we have enjoyed the "Treehouse" at Pease Park we will return to the parking lot before 10 as the city has a curfew of 10PM for parking in this area. We’ll head to **Lustre Pearl East** (114 Linden St, Austin, TX 78702) to unwind. It has **outdoor seating and free parking** — feel free to join us!
