🎤🎵 [Central/UT] Sun night karaoke @ Calamity

The Hole in the Wall opened on June 15, 1974, directly across from the University of Texas campus. Although the original owners never intended it to be a live music venue it quickly became a popular hangout for local musicians. Over the past 50 years, it has become a landmark venue, with thousands of musicians, including Doug Sahm, Gary Clark Jr., Lucinda Williams, Nanci Griffith, Spoon, Shawn Colvin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Texas Tornados, Timbuk3, and other local and national legends gracing its stage. Other renowned artists, including Emmylou Harris, have stopped by to perform after taping an episode of Austin City Limits. Calamity is the back room coffeehouse that hosts karaoke from 10 pm to 2 am five nights a week (Wed to Sun).
